MeterOn mobile app allows you to verify the driver, track the journey, estimate the taxi fare, and send SOS alerts. It also keep record of taxi drivers you have rode with before. If you feel that you have not been treated fairly, you can immediately file a report to S.P.A.D. via this app and rate your driver.
The app covers licensed taxis (including airport taxis and hired cars) throughout Peninsular Malaysia. MeterOn is adaptable to your phone language; English or Bahasa Malaysia.
With this integrated and comprehensive database, you can make an informed decision before riding a taxi.
Driver Rating and Meter Usage
Users only need to register once by providing name, email address and phone number; they can immediately begin to use the app. A confirmation email will be sent separately and the user must confirm within 30 days for the purpose of verification. However, users can still use the app without logging in.
Note: Users may choose to use the app without identity (use anonymously).
Authenticate the driver by entering the taxi's registration number. If the taxi is regstered, users can view the detailed information about the driver and current offences commited by the driver under Land Public Transport Act 2010 (LPTA 2010), and other passengers' reviews/ feedbacks/ complaints about the driver. If the taxi happens to be driven by an unidentified individual, please lodge a report immediately.
Users can track own journey and share their location with primary contacts until they safely arrive at their destination.
Users can view the estimated fare for their journey once they key-in their starting point and destination. The estimated fares shown are based on meter usage and are only available for Budget, TEKSIM, Premier and Executive Taxis as well as Hired Cars. Fares for Airport Taxis are zonal-based and are published in terminals.
Users can rate the drivers based on their travel experience and can directly lodge a report to S.P.A.D. if the driver is found not using their meter. This can be done when the user presses the button indicating that his journey has ended, and it will prompt to rating page.
In cases of emergency,the SOS alert feature allows users to send pre-determined messages with full ride details (information of the taxi and driver, current location and destination) to their primary contacts. The feature also permits users to make emergency calls to their primary contact, PDRM or S.P.A.D Hotline.
Users can lodge a report to SPAD if the taxi service provided was not satisfactory. This features allows complaints and feedback to reach S.P.A.D. instantly. Immediate action will be taken against taxi drivers and operators who had committed any offence under LPTA 2010.
