Snowden Leaks Documents on NSA Intelligence Relationship with Israel

In his latest leak, ex-NSA tech Snowden has revealed that chaos which has taken over the Middle East is the result of the cash and support granted by the US to Israel. The Intercept’s Glenn Greenwald further writes that Obama is merely pretending to be ‘helpless’.
Another document reveals Israel was flagged as top spy threat to U.S. by the NSA itself.

A clear examination took place in which the former Guardian unveils the exotic contrast that exists between the UN’s public declarations and actual.

The upgraded leaks of Snowden document of April 2013 have been analyzed and published by Greenwald. They explain exactly how inaccurate the idea of the US being on the team of the Middle East actually is.Moreover, “the single largest exchange between NSA and ISNU is on targets in the Middle East which constitute strategic threats to US and Israeli interests,” the paper which had been revealed highlighted.

The mutually agreed upon geographic targets include the countries of North Africa, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, South Asia and the Islamic Republics of the former Soviet Union. Within that set of countries, cooperation covers the exploitation of internal government, military, civil and diplomatic communications; and external security/intelligence organizations.”

One of the several ‘key points’ of the following cooperation involves,

The Iranian nuclear development program, followed by Syrian nuclear efforts, Lebanese Hizbullah plans and intentions, Palestinian terrorism, and Global Jihad.”The paper furthers on ‘targeting and exploiting’ them.

It further demonstrates that both intelligence services possess liaison officials in the embassies. They seem to have a rather ‘cryptanalytic’ partnership and Israel can directly access the upper most American military technology. This all has been supplemented by proof by Greenwald and this proof revolves around the fact that thousands and millions in a state of emergency US funds which are stockpiled in the Middle East region. This can be used conveniently by Israel itself.

Greenwald further writes that over the past decade that the NSA has elevated the ante greatly on the technology of surveillance. Most of the aid has been put to use against Palestinians and the ×Gaza operation.

At least once, a furtive transaction of a huge payment made by cash to the Israeli operations was executed. It was done while being a unit of the American initiative of making use of Israel and various US sponsored actors. The Arab monarchies are included in this. It was done in order to carry out surveillance on the Palestinians.

“The new documents underscore the indispensable, direct involvement of the US government and its key allies in Israeli aggression against its neighbors. That covert support is squarely at odds with the posture of helpless detachment typically adopted by Obama and their supporters,” Greenwald says.

This came contrary to the statement of the US president about how ‘heartbreaking’ he finds it to watch ×Gaza face the tragedy. He claims to be nothing more than ‘a bystander’ and Corey Robin (a Brooklyn College Professor) further speaks,

‘Obama talks about ×Gaza as if it were a natural disaster, an uncontrollable biological event’.

Greenwald further builds on his claims by adding that US has been, on numerous occasions, exposed as a supplier of weapons to Israel. It is further claimed that the last event of supply took place right before to the ×Gaza outbreak and $1 billion stockpile of ammunition was made by the US to Israel. This stockpile originates from the 1990s and it was then that US European Command was apparently stocking it for future use.

Unknown to many, Israel only happens to be a request away from accessing it. One prime case that resonates this idea is the 2006 war that was waged against Hezbollah in Lebanon.More support revolved around various UN resolutions which secured Israel from any international disapproval and also enabled it. Greenwald sees this as rather strange keeping in view the reaction of the US in media about the Middle East crisis.

“The new Snowden documents illustrate a crucial fact: Israeli aggression would be impossible without the constant, lavish support and protection of the US government, which is anything but a neutral, peace brokering party in these attacks. And the relationship between the NSA and its partners on the one hand, and the Israeli spying agency on the other, is at the center of that enabling,”Greenwald further writes.’

Massive evidence of this comprises of the Guardian’s 2013 disclosure of the American ‘routine’ of sharing the raw intelligence with the Israeli government, without doing anything about removing the data that may be contained about US citizens. The recent Snowden leak, however, talks about exactly how ‘NSA maintains a far reaching technical and analytical relationship with’ the Israeli intelligence. This comprises of all sorts of data from communications intercepts to language, any targets and even all types of analysis.

The Israeli defense coupled with the Mossad are both exposed as prime partners in this particular relationship and under this any access to ‘geographic targets {that} include the countries of North Africa, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, South Asia and the Islamic republics of the former Soviet Union’ is given by the US.Furthermore, Israel is known to have access to the advanced technology of the American military and all equipment for any use against the “Palestinian terrorism”

This cooperation is known to date back to the 1960s and found expansion in the year 2003.Due to this, it is highly unclear to Greenwald as to how precisely NSA goes ahead and lists Israel as a threat to the security of the Middle East. This public display by the British and the American officials is contradictory.
